I moved to Brisbane in about a month (can not wait!) And I wanted have an apartment available on arrival. Is it possible to conclude a lease for an apartment while staying in the U.S., keeping in mind that it is short term and I do not really care what it is?

I highly recommend Quest Apartments Spring Hill, which is about 5 minutes walk from the main shopping and central business district of Brisbane. My family recently stayed there when they came to visit from interstate and were impressed by the level of hospitality and service, cleanliness and staff courtesy. Like you, we trawl the area looking a good housing at a reasonable price, but found nothing at a similar level. It was much easier for us because we live in region. Enjoy your stay in Brisbane.
