If you are looking for a town with a fun relaxed atmosphere and lots of sun, then it is difficult to pass Brisbane. Brisbane is the state capital for Queensland and is located about midway along the east coast of Australia. It enjoys a subtropical climate so it's pretty warm all year without too extreme even the tropical north.
