How can I make a road trip from Sydney to Brisbane?

I'll do a road trip from Sydney to Brisbane for Schoolies 2010, Im not sure where to stop or exactly where to go, but I know that we want to stop at tourist resorts along the way just for fun, and also stop to either Goldcoast or Surfers to attend some events Schoolies. We also believe to be camping along the way accomidation, and possibly a few cheap motels. Any recomendations for campsites or cheap accomidation? Any suggestions for how exactly I can plan my road trip? and what places they could / should stop? THANK YOU GUYS HEAPS

Hy there, you should definitely drop in Byron Bay. There is little surf town two hours south of Surfers. Very relaxed vibe, beautiful beaches and the multicultural crowd. There are many places to camp at a price advantageous way. I made many trips between Sydney and Byron surf. My first stop is Seal Rocks north of Newcastle pm 1. You can camp there for about $ 10 per person campground national park. 2nd stop could be a place like the head of the Crescent. Hope that helps a little. Bon voyage!
